How to Pair the Remote on the G-700

(Siemens and Inovance Versions)

Before beginning any steps that involve accessing internal components or wiring, unplug the machine from the power source to avoid risk of electric shock or equipment damage. Step 1: Identify Which Version of G-700 You Have

There are two main versions of the G-700, based on the inverter and screen type:

✅ Siemens Version

• Front Screen / BOP: Labeled "Siemens"

• Inverter inside the electrical box: Siemens Sinamics V20

• Receiver Location:

  • Early units: Inside the electrical box

  • Later units: Mounted on the left side of the electrical box behind the side panel

✅ Inovance Version

• Front Screen / BOP: Not labeled Siemens

• Inverter: Inovance

• Receiver Location: Always mounted outside on the left side of the electrical box behind the side panel

Pairing the Remote – Siemens Version Only (24V)

Tools Required:

• Wrench for turning the power switch stem

• Screwdriver for panel removal

Safety First:

1. Unplug the G-700 from the power source.

2. Remove the rear panel enclosing the main power switch.

3. Turn the main power switch to OFF to remove the switch cover. (The cover cannot be removed if the switch is ON.)

4. Remove the switch cover.

5. Use a wrench to turn the switch stem back to ON (required to power the receiver).

6. Plug the machine back in.

Pair the Remote:

1. Access the receiver (inside or on the left side, depending on the version).

2. Press the small ‘KEY’ button on the receiver board.

3. The light on the receiver will go dark.

4. Immediately press the ‘ON’ button on the remote and the LED should start flashing as it pairs. Press 'ON' again to start. If the machine does not start, press the 'OFF' button first and then press 'ON' and you should see the receiver's relay LED switching back and forth from the 'OFF' relay position to the 'ON' position. 

5. On the Siemens screen, make sure the “Hand” symbol is not displayed.

   • If you see the Hand symbol, the unit is in manual mode.

   • Press the Hand symbol to switch to remote mode.

6. Test the remote for Start/Stop functionality.

After Pairing – Safely Reassemble:

1. Unplug the machine again.

2. Ignore any low-voltage error codes while the inverter capacitors discharge.

3. Use the wrench to turn the switch stem to OFF.

4. Reinstall the switch cover and rear panel.

5. Plug the machine back in.

✅ Your Siemens G-700 remote is now paired!

Pairing the Remote – Inovance Version Only (12V)

Locate the Receiver:

• Found on the outside left side of the electrical box

• Remove the side panel to expose the receiver

• The receiver is adhered to the box; gently pop off the cover to access the board

Pair the Remote:

1. Press the ‘KEY’ button on the receiver board.

2. The receiver light will go dark.

3. Immediately press the ‘ON’ button on the remote and the LED should start flashing as it pairs. Press 'ON' again to start. If the machine does not start, press the 'OFF' button first and then press 'ON' and you should see the receiver's relay LED switching back and forth from the 'OFF' relay position to the 'ON' position. 

4. Ensure the ‘Remote’ LED is illuminated on the front screen.

   • If it’s not, press the M/R button on the screen to toggle between Manual and Remote modes.

⚠️ Note: The Inovance version uses an M/R button, whereas the Siemens version uses the Hand symbol to switch modes.

✅ Your Inovance G-700 remote is now paired!
