Gyro Air G-700 · Troubleshooting
Dust Bin Leak Detection and Adjustments

Below are instructions to help detect and troubleshoot leaks primarily related to the dust bin seals.

What You'll Need
Metric #4 Hex Wrench   Metric #10 Pliers / Wrench   8.5" × 11" Sheet of Printer Paper
Procedures for Leak Detection
1
Inspect the Rubber Gasket

Remove the bin from the dust collector and check the dust bin to ensure the rubber gasket is in good working condition and properly seated on the bin.

2
Paper Test — Front Seal

Reinstall the bin into the Gyro Air. Place a sheet of paper on top of the edge of the bin and latch the bin securely. With the bin secured, try to pull the sheet of paper to check the gap between the bin and the top of the machine.

Paper slides out — adjust the front latch (see Step 3).
Paper stays put — skip to Step 4.

Check each side of the bin to ensure the bin is sealed on both sides properly.

3
Adjust the Front Latch

Using a metric #10 wrench or pliers, loosen and remove the two (2) lock nuts at the bottom of the latch. Adjust the four (4) hex nuts until the latch secures the bin tightly in place. Repeat Step 2 as needed to verify.

Important: Once correctly adjusted, secure all four (4) hex nuts, then reinstall and tighten the two (2) lock nuts against them to prevent loosening.
4
Remove the Back Panel

To access and check the back side of the bin for leakage, remove the back panel of the dust collector. Using a metric #4 hex wrench, remove the 4 screws indicated in the photo.

5
Position the Bin for Back Panel Test

Prop the front door panel slightly upward so the bin slides partially outward and rests on the hinge section of the panel. This will provide better access when performing the paper test on the back side of the bin.

6
Paper Test — Back Seal

From the back of the dust collector, place a sheet of paper along the edge of the bin. If needed, fold the sheet in half and rest it on the edge to prevent it from falling. Push the bin back into locking position and secure the front latch.

7
Check Back Seal Result

Pull the sheet of paper to see if it slides out. Check both corners of the bin to ensure each side is seated correctly.

Paper slides out — adjust the back rollers (see Step 8).
Paper stays put — you're done! Skip to Step 9 for reassembly.
8
Adjust the Back Rollers

Remove the bin to allow room to work. Using a metric #4 hex wrench, slightly loosen the bolt securing the roller to the bin. Since the roller shaft is eccentric (offset), rotate the roller to make the height adjustment. Secure the bolt and slide the bin back in.

Repeat Steps 6 & 7 to verify the adjustment. Once confirmed, ensure all roller bolts are fully secured before latching the bin back in place.

Final Inspection & Reassembly

Run the machine and visually inspect for any signs of dust leakage. If none are found, reinstall the back panel using the four (4) screws and a metric #4 hex wrench.

All done! Your Gyro Air G-700 dust bin is now sealed and ready for use.
