Common causes of a Gyro Air Series dust processor not starting with the remote control are either due to low battery in the remote, the remote is not paired with the receiver, or the machine's control input is set to Manual instead of Remote.
If the remote's batteries are new and the LED on the remote illuminates strong when pressing either the ON/OFF keys but the machine does not start, first confirm that the remote is paired and the machine is in Remote mode by following these instructions: Gyro Air G-700: RC-700 Remote Control Pairing Instructions
Changing the Batteries
If when pressing the ON/OFF keys on the remote there is no LED illuminated, or the remote signal is weak, the most likely cause is low batteries on the remote. Here are steps for changing the remote control batteries.
1. Use a wide flat head screwdriver or similar tool to pry open the remote control housing.

2. On the remote's board is the battery terminal. Remove the stack of batteries by pulling out the black tab and pushing the batteries out of the retaining ring.

3. Install two new batteries stacked on top of each other into the battery retainer ring in the same orientation as the ones removed with the positive (+) sides facing up and negative (-) facing down.

4. Insert the batteries fully into the terminal and close the remote housing.

5. With the new batteries installed, the remote LED should illuminate when pressing either the ON/OFF keys.

6. Put the machine into remote control mode and then press ON on the remote. If the machine does not start, ensure that the remote and receiver are paired and try again. If there is still no response from the receiver after following the steps to pair the remote and receiver, the receiver or the remote may need replacement.
