Gyro Air G-700
Gyro Air G-800

The Gyro Air Series offers several advantages over typical cyclone dust collectors. The following highlights the key features and differences between the G-700 and G-800 non-pro models.

Form Factor & Portability
Both models are designed for easy storage, with the G-700 compact enough to fit under a workbench.
Their portability avoids the footprint and mobility issues common with larger traditional cyclone units.
Dust Collection Bins
Both models use bins of a manageable size, simplifying disposal and maintenance compared to large bag systems.
800
G-800 specific: The bin disconnects with wheels for especially easy removal and disposal.
Filter Efficiency
Both models use MERV 16 filters capable of trapping 0.3–0.5 micron particles at 99.35% efficiency — significantly outperforming typical bag filter systems.
Intelligent Filter Cleaning
G-800 Only
800
The G-800 includes an air pulse cleaning system that triggers automatically based on static pressure readings — maintaining filter efficiency without manual intervention.
Ease of Maintenance
Filter replacement is straightforward on both models, with particularly easy access on the G-800.
Filters are estimated to last approximately 6 months or around 1,300 hours of continuous use.
Energy Efficiency
Both models are designed for energy efficiency with single-phase power requirements and a VFD that optimizes electrical consumption.
Design Considerations
700
G-700: Motor is placed at the inlet — an inline separator may be beneficial when processing larger particles.
800
G-800: Motor placement and higher horsepower make it suitable for higher volume and diverse material processing. Uses a negative pressure system to efficiently pull dust into the machine.
Application Suitability
700
G-700: Optimal for wood dust with varied particle sizes. Designed for manual cleaning and staged particle separation — well suited for smaller to medium-sized operations.
800
G-800: Recommended for higher volume production environments. Offers easier filter access, automated cleaning, and better handling of fine dust and non-wood materials including metals.
Dust Separation & Collection
700
G-700: Separates particles in stages by mass and size — this may result in uneven bin filling with finer materials such as MDF dust.
800
G-800: Does not separate by mass or size, ensuring even bin filling regardless of particle type. Recommended for both shavings and fine dust materials — best results require a sufficient length of straight pipe before the inlet to reduce turbulence.
These features collectively make the Gyro Air Series a more efficient, user-friendly, and versatile option for dust collection across a wide range of workshop and industrial applications.
