Our bandsaws include a slot located below the upper dust port that can be used to support a custom zero-clearance insert plate. An insert can be made from wood, MDF or other suitable material by cutting a piece to fit the slot dimensions below and then adding a 45-degree blade cutout to allow the blade to pass through.
Slot Dimensions:
- 14mm x 57mm x 100mm
Benefits:
- The zero clearance insert helps guide dust toward the upper port which can be beneficial especially if only utilizing one port or have underpowered collection where it is better to concentrate all suction to one port for better dust collection performance.
- Less dust in the lower cabinet extends time between maintenance cleanings/manual dust removal by hand.
