Wi-Fi Requirement — 2.4GHz Network Only

The B-PM — along with other Harvey connected equipment such as the A-15 Bandsaw and Gyro Pro models — can only connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Most modern routers handle band steering automatically, but if your network does not appear in the B-PM's Wi-Fi settings, this may be due to one of the following:

The router is not emitting a sufficiently strong 2.4GHz signal in your location
The network SSID is hidden in router settings
Other router-level settings are blocking the connection
Tip — Use a Cell Phone Hotspot to Bypass Router Issues

A quick option for bypassing router settings complications — such as geo-blocking, which can prevent updates from being pushed to the B-PM even when connected — is to use a cell phone hotspot set to 2.4GHz and connect the B-PM screen to it instead of your home or shop network.

Once connected on a 2.4GHz network:

1
If software updates are available, the version number at the top of the Settings screen will be lit up RED with the latest version number displayed.
2
Tap the red version number to initiate the update.
3
When prompted, allow installing the app update from unknown sources to proceed with installation.
Software Update Procedure
Confirm the B-PM is running the latest software version before calibrating.
1
Turn the B-PM screen ON.
2
Navigate to Settings → Wi-Fi and select your 2.4GHz network SSID. If your home/shop network doesn't appear, use a cell phone hotspot set to 2.4GHz as described above.
3
Once connected, check the version number at the top of the Settings screen. If an update is available it will appear in red — tap it to begin the update and allow installation from unknown sources when prompted.
4
After the update is installed, unplug and reseat the camera USB-C cable (if the camera was connected during the update) to re-initialize the camera before proceeding with calibration.
Once the B-PM is confirmed on the latest software version and the camera has been reseated, proceed with the calibration steps shown in the video above.
