Safety — Read Before Beginning
+
Ensure the machine is OFF and unplugged before performing any adjustments. Do not work on the table, trunnion, or blade split area while the saw is connected to power.
+
Wear safety glasses when using a hammer or mallet to adjust the table — debris or chips can become dislodged during tapping.
+
Use a wooden or soft block between the hammer and the table surface to avoid damaging or denting the cast iron table.
+
Re-check blade tracking and table tilt after any trunnion or mounting bolt adjustments to ensure the saw is correctly set up before resuming operation.
What Causes This?

If the table is higher on the outfeed side of the blade split, it can cause the workpiece to catch as it is fed over the split. This is typically caused by tension in the table at the trunnion mounting points. The following adjustments are designed to relieve that tension and improve flatness.

Initial Fix
Relieving Mounting Tension
1
Slightly Loosen the Table Mounting Bolts

Slightly loosen the bolts on the underside of the table top as shown in the parts diagram below. This relieves potential tension at the mounting points.

Step 1 — Table Mounting Bolts (Underside) Fig. 1
Table mounting bolts on underside of table top
2
Tighten the Blade Split Locking Handle

Tighten down the blade split locking handle, ensuring the washer is on the underside and the round of the small metal block is pushed all the way in.

3
Re-tighten the Mounting Hex Bolts

Once fully tightened at the blade split, re-tighten the five (5) mounting hex bolts that were slightly loosened in Step 1.

Check Table Flatness

Use a straight edge across the blade split to check whether flatness has improved. If the problem is resolved, you're done. If not, continue to the secondary fix below.

If the Problem Persists
Trunnion & Insert Adjustment
1
Tighten the Trunnion Locking Knobs

Tighten the locking knobs on the underside of the trunnion as shown below.

Step 1 — Trunnion Locking Knobs (Underside) Fig. 2

2
Remove the Insert and Locking Block

Remove the insert and locking block as shown in the photo below.

Step 2 — Insert and Locking Block Removal Fig. 3

3
Gently Tap the High Side Down

Place a wooden block on the higher side of the work table and knock it gently with a hammer or mallet until the table is flat and acceptable. Use light, incremental taps — check with a straight edge between taps.

Reinstall and Verify

Install the insert and locking block back into position and re-check table flatness with a straight edge across the blade split.

If the table is still not flat after completing both procedures, please contact our support team for further assistance.
