Do I Need to Install the Stand Pads (Leveling Feet) When Mounting the HW615 or C14 Bandsaw on the M-1500 or M-1500Pro Mobile Base?
Applicable Models
Alpha HW615
Ambassador C14
M-1500
M-1500Pro
Short Answer: Stand pads are optional with the M-1500Pro but are recommend for use with the M-1500

Installing the stand pads (leveling feet) on the HW615 or C14 is optional when using either the M-1500 or M-1500Pro mobile base. That said, since the M-1500 only has leveling casters on one side, the stand pads can be useful for leveling the opposite side of the saw. The leveling feet can be used alongside the mobile base's leveling casters, or the saw's footer can be placed directly onto the base frame without them.

For the M-1500Pro, the leveling feet mounting points can also be used to bolt the saw to a platform, which provides more flexibility in orientation and helps clear the lower cabinet door.

What are The Stand Pads (Leveling feet)?

The Alpha HW615 and Ambassador C14 include four stand pads — also referred to as adjustable leveling feet — which bolt to the base of the machine and allow for fine leveling adjustments. When mounting the saw on a mobile base, the stand pads can be used alongside the mobile base's leveling casters to give you an additional point of adjustment for getting the saw perfectly level.

Without Stand Pads
Simpler setup
Leveling handled by casters alone
Works perfectly well in most installations
With Stand Pads
Additional leveling adjustment point
Useful on slightly uneven floors
Works in combination with leveling casters for best results
Important Safety Note

Always ensure the machine is stable and fully supported on the mobile base before use — whether stand pads are installed or not. Verify all leveling casters are properly adjusted with the pedal locked and preventing movement before operating the saw.
