Gyro Air Series: Power Requirements

Created by Gabriel Izzo, Modified on Mon, 23 Jun at 12:10 PM by Gabriel Izzo

The Gyro Air G-700, G-800, and G-800Pro models are equipped with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) that converts standard 220V single-phase power into three-phase power internally to operate their three-phase motors.

No external three-phase connection is required—the power conversion is handled entirely by the onboard inverter.

These models follow the NEMA 6-20 electrical standard, which requires:

  • 220V single-phase power

  • A 20A double-pole breaker

  • NEMA 6-20R receptacle (to match the machine’s 6-20P plug)

Need a Three-Phase Power Option?

For customers with access to a direct three-phase power supply, the Gyro Air G-1000 is an ideal solution. It is compatible with 380–480V three-phase electrical systems and designed for high-demand, industrial applications.
