Design & Construction
CSMv2: Features a simplified main body, making the tool lighter and easier to assemble.
CSMv1: Includes a sliding table and Japanese saw blade, which have been removed in v2 to streamline the experience.
Travel & Safety Enhancements
Saw Blade Eliminated in v2 to make the kit carry-on friendly, particularly with international travel in mind.
Designed to be more kid-friendly by removing cutting hazards.

Depth Skids:
CSMv1: Features traditional skids.
CSMv2: Introduces a pivoting depth sled flush-mounted to the HP-8 plane sole.

Packaging & Portability
CSMv2 comes in a box that is half the size of the original.
