My Outlet Has Two Vertical Prongs (NEMA 5-15) — What Can I Do?

Do not use an adapter or force a NEMA 5-20P plug into a NEMA 5-15 outlet. Using an undersized circuit creates a risk of overheating, tripped breakers, fire, or equipment damage.

Outlet and breaker upgrades must be performed by a licensed electrician in compliance with local electrical codes. Never replace a breaker or receptacle yourself unless you are qualified to do so.

Do not operate the HW110LC on a 15-amp circuit. The saw can draw up to 16 amps on startup and will overload the circuit, potentially causing unsafe operating conditions.

Why NEMA 5-15 Is Not Sufficient

A NEMA 5-15 outlet is rated for only 15 amps.
