What Size and Thickness Should the Plywood Base Be Cut for the MB-600?
Discontinued Product

The MB-600 Mobile Base has been discontinued and replaced by the Spider Series M-1500 / M-1500Pro / M-1500E. This article is retained for reference for existing MB-600 owners.

Plywood Thickness Requirements

For the MB-600 mobile base, we recommend a minimum thickness of 3/4" for plywood. The MB-600 can accept wood thickness from 3/4" up to 1-1/2".

Min. Thickness 3/4"
Max. Thickness 1-1/2"
Max. Capacity 600 lbs
The MB-600 comes with 2 sets of hardware to accommodate different plywood thicknesses. Ensure you use the correct hardware set for your plywood thickness.
Recommended Plywood Dimensions by Machine

Ensure each plywood base is properly sized to match the machine's footprint and rated to support its full weight. Refer to the table below for recommended dimensions for Harvey machines:

Weight Capacity Warning — HW110S Models
+
The HW110S-52 (~623 lbs) exceeds the MB-600's 600 lb rated capacity. We do not recommend using the MB-600 with the HW110S-52.
+
The HW110S-36 (~582 lbs) technically falls just under the weight limit, however any additional load — such as heavy stock, the Shark S12-S Sliding Table, or the Compass Router System — can easily push the total weight beyond 600 lbs.
i
Always ensure the total combined weight of the saw and all accessories does not exceed 600 lbs. Exceeding this limit may compromise stability and mobility.
