Leveling the Guard

For tips and guidance on how to level and adjust the Shark S-12S Universal Overhead Guard, refer to the instructional video and manual linked below. The video provides a walkthrough on how to level and square the overhead guard properly with your table saw for optimal safety and performance.

Table Saw Safety — Setup & Calibration
+
Unplug the table saw from power before installing, adjusting, or calibrating the overhead guard or any other component. Never work on or near the blade area while the saw is connected to power.
+
Wear safety glasses at all times during setup and adjustment. Components under spring tension or fasteners being tightened can release unexpectedly.
+
Keep hands clear of the blade during any leveling or squaring procedure. Even when the saw is unplugged, the blade is sharp and can cause serious cuts.
+
Do not operate the table saw with a misaligned or improperly secured guard. A guard that is not correctly leveled or squared to the blade can interfere with workpiece feed, increase kickback risk, or fail to provide adequate blade protection.
+
Verify all fasteners are fully tightened and the guard moves freely through its full range of motion before reconnecting power and resuming operation.
