This guide applies to Siemens V20 inverter models only

Do not use this guide on G-700 models with an Inovance inverter. Check below to confirm which inverter your unit has before proceeding.

⚠ High Voltage Electrical Safety Warning

The unit must remain connected to power to perform a VFD parameter reset. This procedure is performed while the electrical box is live.

Only interact with the VFD control screen and buttons. Do not touch any wiring, terminals, bus bars, or other electrical components inside the box at any time during this procedure.

Open the electrical box, perform the reset using only the control buttons, then close the box. Nothing else inside the box should be touched, adjusted, or disturbed.

Wear insulated gloves and safety glasses when the electrical box is open, even if you are only pressing buttons.

Ensure the work area is dry and free of conductive materials. Never work on or near open electrical components in damp or wet conditions.

Step 1 — Identify Your Inverter Model

Check the front control panel of your G-700 to determine which inverter model you have:

✓ Siemens V20 Inverter

Front panel is labeled SIEMENS at the top of the screen above the readout, and has a Hand Symbol button.

Step 2 — Perform the Parameters Reset

Follow these steps to reset the Siemens Sinamics V20 inverter parameters:

Set P0003 to 1 first to enable basic parameter access.

If the reset does not work, restore factory settings by setting the parameters to the values shown in the diagram below.

When setting parameter P0724, ensure P0003 is set to '3' first so that the full list of parameters becomes accessible. With P0003 set to '1' from the reset, P0724 may not be listed.
