Gyro Air Series: Noise Rating Testing Parameters

Created by Gabriel Izzo, Modified on Mon, 23 Jun at 12:07 PM by Gabriel Izzo

The Gyro Air Series noise ratings are determined under the following standardized testing conditions:

  1. Testing Environment:

    • Conducted in an open area to avoid sound reflection from walls or enclosures.

  2. Operational Setup:

    • Hoses are connected to equipment to replicate real-world usage and maintain consistent airflow resistance.

  3. Measurement Parameters:

    • Power frequency: 60 Hz

    • Distance: 3 meters (approx. 9.8 feet) from the unit

    • Height: 1.6 meters (approx. 5.25 feet) from the ground

These conditions provide a consistent and realistic representation of the operating noise level in a typical workshop environment.

Gyro Air Series – Noise Ratings (@ 3 Meters)

All measurements taken at a distance of 3 meters in an open environment, following standard testing parameters.

  • Gyro Air G-700:  61–72 dB(A)

  • Gyro Air G-800:  61–72 dB(A)

  • Gyro Air G-800Pro:60–72 dB(A)

  • Gyro Air G-1000:  61–72 dB(A)

These ratings reflect the machines' quiet operation under typical conditions, making them ideal for shop environments where reduced noise is essential.
